NetDrive for Mac connects remote storage and show them like a hard disk. With the app, your Mac will have multiple new drives that connect ftp/WebDAV servers and cloud storage. It supports connections to Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, SkyDrive, Amazon S3, and OpenStack Swift.

 It should be mentioned that this version of NetDrive is not a stable release. Therefore, some bugs are to be expected.  The note is the fact that we were unable to connect to a Dropbox account during our tests. While Google Drive and Google Cloud Storage presented no such issues, users may have problems with other services.

Accessing files will be as easy as any old file folder on your Mac. Once you mount the local drive, you don’t need to run each application for an FTP or cloud storage service. Client interface but a simple drag-and-drop in your Explorer will be sufficient to transfer and manage files. NetDrive for mac is free for evaluation use. You will need to purchase a license after evaluation use.

It supports a broad range of cloud storage services, including Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Amazon Cloud Drive, as well as FTP, WebDAV, and NAS servers.

Once you connect to a server or cloud storage account, it will be displayed as a volume on your desktop, enabling you to browse its contents just as you would in the case of any other external drive.

Additionally, it is possible to upload new files by placing them in the specified volume and track the progress of each transfer.

Cloud storage as a virtual drive
Managing your favorite cloud storage services could not be easier. Simply provide login information, and all your cloud storage will automatically appear as a virtual drive every time you start your Mac.

NAS storage as a virtual drive
You can connect to NAS servers by WebDAV or FTP. Many NAS vendors recommend the app as a standard way to mount their NAS products. Share your NAS easily with anyone as a virtual drive.

SFTP to securely transfer files
It supports secure file transfer by SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol). Unlike standard File Transfer Protocol (FTP), SFTP encrypts both commands and data, preventing passwords and sensitive information from being transmitted in clear text over a network.

NetDrive can connect to certain remote locations as soon as the application is opened. If the app is also launched at login, you can have access to your cloud storage at all times.

Temporary copies of remote files are stored on your local drives to reduce access speed, and you can specify how much space each volume should be allotted.

NetDrive is a very helpful application that can make the task of managing multiple cloud storage services and remote servers a whole lot simpler. The app still needs a bit more polish, but this technical preview allows you to test out its features and see if it is the right solution for your needs.
